Hand crafted from 500 elements, this sculpture incorporates a different gradient technique to other suspended pieces. Fine powdered coloured glass is repeatedly built up in layers trapping metal elements to glisten in the light. The copper at the bottom of the sculpture anchors the artwork to the copper bowl within the Font, whilst the colours above float upwards with a sense of weightlessness.

 

Commissioned by the Church of England as a temporary installation.
