This large and elaborate commission was designed and constructed based on the corporate logo of a diamond pattern. I decide to upscale a section incorporating blue and lilac, I then introduced a soft iridescent Bronze and pale Pink, with which I fused silver leaf to produce soft metallic gold. Although complimentary, I thought the scheme needed an additional colour so suggested Orange, the client was receptive and went on to use this further within the interior.
The glass elements being diamond shaped had to be double drilled in order to take the thread and every piece of the 1600 section artwork had its own coordinate, making for a complex threading process. Cleaned and maintained, this impressive artwork still attracts attention today after having hung for almost 10 years.
